Gender Resources

This section of our site is dedicated to resources for transgender, gender nonconforming, genderqueer and gender-questioning students, staff, faculty and postdoctoral fellows at Yale.

Resources

Information about campus resources and policies is divided into two sections: Undergraduate, Graduate and Professional Students and Staff, Faculty and Postdocs. You can view a listing of campus and local resources in the Trans Resources Directory.

Consultations & Referrals

The Director of LGBTQ Resources can help students, staff, and faculty navigate social, medical, and administrative challenges of gender congruence or transition.  These consultations and referrals are available by appointment.  For more information, visit Virtual Appointments

Campus All Gender Restroom Map

Most university buildings have all-gender or single-occupant restrooms, and almost all dormitory restrooms and shower facilities are all-gender. Find one near you with our mobile-friendly All Gender Restroom Map.

Trainings

The Office offers regularly scheduled trainings on Foundations of Gender & Sexuality that includes best practices for inclusive classrooms and workspaces.  These are offered through the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.  We can also plan individualized trainings for your group, as well as design brochure and poster campaigns to suit your needs.  Subscribe to our newsletter to receive announcements on upcoming trainings, and visit training and workshops for more information.

Advocacy & Involvement

The Office sponsors a Gender Resources @ Yale standing committee of student leaders who help coordinate intergenerational programs and initiatives with a special lens to gender identity and expression.  The committee helps shape affinity meetups and gatherings, support initiatives, our Qloset, and our annual TransWeek and Trans Visibility programming.  Learn more at Advocacy.
