Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Studies (LGBTS)

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies (LGBTS) at Yale promotes innovative interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching on the historical and contemporary experience of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, and transgender people. It also fosters critical analysis of queer and normative sexualities, the formation of sexual and gender minorities, and the role of sexuality in culture and politics across the world. It has a national and international reputation for its faculty, lecturers, fellowships, prizes, and symposia.

Chaplain’s Office

The Yale University Chaplain’s Office promotes discussion among Yale’s diverse religious and spiritual groups and connects students to communities of faith in New Haven. The staff of the Chaplain’s Office is available to speak with students regarding issues of religion, spirituality, sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as to connect them to other resources, both on and off campus, including places of worship and congregations that identify themselves as open and affirming.

Yale Medicine Pediatric Gender Program

When a child has questions or concerns related to gender, the entire family is affected. We are a safe, supportive resource and treatment center for children, adolescents, and young adults who are exploring their gender identity, as well as for their families.
