In this session, you will learn about a system-wide initiative, now a year old, to build the first ever LGBTQI Healthcare Program at Yale. This multiphase project encompasses Yale Health, Yale School of Medicine, Yale School of Nursing, Yale School of Public Health, and the Yale New Haven Health System and the current team includes people from each of these organizations. With that background and context, we’ll discuss the current phase, Education & Training, which includes a comprehensive inventory of what is available throughout this massive system, followed by an evaluation and gap analysis. You will then have an opportunity to learn about how you might be able to contribute directly to this incredibly important work that has the potential to benefit the entire LGBTQI community, not just within Yale, but throughout southern Connecticut, and ultimately beyond! Hosted by Cayetana Navarro, Program Manager of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion at the Yale School of Medicine. Co-sponsored by the Yale LGBTQ Affinity Group.
