“Out of Order” Film Screening

Join us for a screening and talkback of the new documentary, “Out of Order” that “reveals the complex and painful struggles faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) faith leaders as they confront entrenched bigotry and work to build loving support within their churches.”

Following the documentary, Alex McNeil and Rev. Bertram Johnson will lead a discussion with audience members. Alex McNeil is the the Executive Director of More Light Presbyterians, the first Presbyterian to come out as transgender during his ordination process, and a cast member of the film. Rev. Bertram Johnson is the first openly gay African American to be ordained in the PC(USA) and the current Minister of Justice, Advocacy, and Change at The Riverside Church in New York City; He is also a cast member of the film.
