Yale Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil

Event time:
Monday, November 12, 2018 - 5:30pm to 6:30pm
Event description:

Because Trans Day of Remembrance on November 20th occurs during Yale’s November break, Trans@Yale is hosting a TDOR vigil event and dinner this Monday the 12th. The vigil event will be held on Cross Campus at 5:30pm. Bring warm clothing since the temperatures will likely be in the mid-40s F. Trans+/nonbinary/intersex folks and allies from across Yale and New Haven welcome — we look forward to connecting with folks across all our communities and supporting each other in this tough time.

Afterwards, Trans+/nonbinary/intersex folks and their guests are invited to dinner afterwards at the Office of LGBTQ Resources (135 Prospect St) at about 6:30pm

The Transgender Day of Remembrance, also known as the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, is observed annually on November 20 as a day to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia and to draw attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community.
