Apply by 5:00pm, Friday, January 22!
The Office of LGBTQ Resources is excited to invite students apply for Wallace-Sexton Funds to virtually attend the National LGBTQ Task Force Creating Change Conference 2021, to take place from Thursday, January 28 to Sunday, January 31, online!
Each year, Creating Change brings together activists working on LGBTQ political, social and cultural issues from across the country and around the world and offers strategy, skills and networking sessions, small and large over the course of a weekend. This year, Creating Change will take place virtually, with an exciting lineup of online sessions.
Funding, Eligibility + Application
Wallace-Sexton Funds will cover the registration fee for a limited number of undergraduate students (normal student/independent rate: $50). Applicants are asked to share how attending Creating Change can build upon, enhance or enable their impactful work supporting and advocating on behalf of campus, local, national or international LGBTQ+ communities. Those who receive funding agree to attend sessions for all or most sessions and to submit reflections on how sessions might inform their work for campus and other communities important to them.
All are invited to apply, including those who have previously received Wallace-Sexton Funds to attend Creating Change. First year students and seniors seeking or planning to work with LGBTQ+ nonprofits are especially encouraged to apply!
Please contact Assoc. Director Andrew Dowe (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions about Wallace-Sexton Funds or the application process.
