Why do pronouns matter? Like many other aspects of identity, gender identity might not be immediately apparent. We frequently refer to each other using pronouns—the Office of LGBTQ Resources provides pronoun stickers and other resources to help people to share the pronouns they use and to help facilitate the process of getting to know each other.
