Empowering Through Technology

The Yale LGBTQ Center hosts the PowerOn Lab, proudly sponsored by a generous technology grant from PowerOn. Power On is a nonprofit organization that believes that digital rights are human rights. Their mission is to help bridge the digital gap by providing essential technology resources, enhancing internet access, and facilitating connection to vital information and support efforts to members of the community.

Lab Access and Printing Services

The computers are exclusively available to members of the Yale University community and their guests and helps enhance our academic mission. Students and employees may use the kiosk computers ot compose papers, check e-mail, conduct online research, or access other resources. In alignment with our goal to support your academic and personal pursuits, we offer free printing services—up to 10 pages per day in black & white, or 3-4 pages in color, while supplies are available. To access, please log in using your Yale email address (minus the @yale.edu).

To troubleshoot or retrieve your prints, please see the front desk receptionist who will be able to assist you.

Use Guidelines

Before using the equipment, we kindly ask that you scan the QR code located at the lab entrance. This quick step helps keep track of usage and maintain service standards. We encourage everyone to treat the PowerOn technology and facilities with respect and care. By doing so, you help us ensure that these resources remain available and in good condition for all community members.

Be a Good Steward

Your cooperation is essential in keeping the workstations clean and helping us minimize operational costs. We strive to provide a welcoming and efficient space for everyone, and your mindfulness makes a big difference.
