The Yale LGBTQ Center is one of over 375 networked LGBTQ Community Centers across the United States and beyond. We work to maintain an academic support system of cultural, allied, and partner organizations across the university campus and beyond.
Mission
The Yale LGBTQ Center serves as an interdisciplinary hub for scholars, researchers, organizers, and other members of the Yale community engaged in the study and exploration of historical and contemporary issues related to gender and sexuality across global contexts.
We welcome Yale undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, employees, and alumni, fostering an environment that supports personal, interpersonal, intellectual, professional, and spiritual wellbeing.
This Community Center is also proud to be the institutional home of the Stonewall Library, a curated collection for circulation dedicated to advancing research, education, and community engagement around LGBTQ histories and cultures.
Vision
Established in 2009, the Yale LGBTQ Center envisions a world strengthened by outstanding research, scholarship, education, preservation, and practice that is informed by queer perspectives and culture.
