The Yale LGBTQ Affinity Group was created in 2008 to foster a more welcoming and respectful campus community for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer individuals and their allies with a primary focus on retention and edification of Yale employees. The group is open to all Yale staff, faculty, and post-docs, representing a diverse range of departments and interests at Yale.

Trans@Yale builds community among and provides emotional support for trans and non-binary students at Yale. We collaborate with groups across Yale and New Haven, share tips and knowledge on being trans+ at Yale, and work with the Yale administration to provide respect and support, individually and institutionally, for trans and non-binary students. We host monthly brunches with the New Haven Pride Center and weekly community dinners called Beyond the Binary (Wednesdays 5:30-7pm @ LGBTQ office).
