Cafe reservation and use guidelines
Organizations affiliated with the Office of LGBTQ Resources
Organizations affiliated with the Office of LGBTQ Resources may reserve the Cafe free of charge during normal staffed hours, between 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm every day during the term. Events must end by 9:30 pm, to allow you adequate time for cleanup.
Reservations can be made by contacting Andrew Dowe (firstname.lastname@example.org) or via 25Live. Note that the 25Live calendar does not include all scheduled events. Requests from organizations that have not undergone training or that conflict with scheduled events will be rejected.
The space can be reserved by unaffiliated organizations between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm at least two weeks in advance, with a fee to cover the cost of cleaning and staffing paid at least one week before the event is held.
Contact Andrew Dowe (email@example.com) at least two weeks ahead of your event to make a reservation or for more information.
Setup & cleanup
Your reservation should include adequate time for setup and cleanup. If you use the kitchen, you must clean up after your event—custodial services do not include the kitchen. See the checklist below and consult the staffer on duty with any questions. Please return the room to its original configuration by the end of your reservation, unless instructed otherwise by the staffer on duty. Failure to clean up the kitchen and return furniture to its original configuration will result in additional fees and/or loss of use privileges.
End of event checklist:
- Furniture: return to original configuration
- Tables: wipe with damp blue microfiber cloth
- Counters and stovetop: wipe with wet wipe
- Dishes: load dishwasher; or wash, dry and put away
- Weekends only: trash should be placed in parking lot dumpsters
Contact Andrew Dowe with any questions.
