The New Haven Free Public Library is excited to bring you this book club and storytime series for families focusing on topics of social importance, in partnership with Yale Affinity Groups.

First Saturday of the Month, 11:00am — 11:30am

April 6 — Every Day’s a Holiday: Winnie’s Birthday Countdown by Stef Wade and Husna Aghniya | Religion & Holidays: Learn about holidays from around the world, including National Picnic Day, and create your own picnic food craft.

May 4 — ‘Ohana Means Family by Ilima Loomis and Kenard Pak | Asian American & Pacific Islander Month: Read about the power of tradition and connection through one family’s luau preparations. Then, create a paper lei.

June 8 — This Day in June by Gayle E. Pitman and Kristyna Litten | LGBTQ+ Pride Month: Read about a community’s pride celebration in this rhyming, joyful story. Then, create a rainbow butterfly to take home.
